Quick hittin' little country rock tune with some high-powered....name-dropping lyrics....great!!!! This was the song we played as TEXAS the band on the first day we were in the studio when our Producer/Sound Engineer Doug Parry at Smoketree Ranch Studio in Calabassas,CA. told us to "just play something so I can hear what you sound like and adjust the sound levels". So.....with played this song completely "live".....no fine tuning, overdubs or additional tracks.......the we recorded SOUTHERN LIVIN' and TEXAS AGAIN....both in the same day......and the rest is history!!!
Live performance by my band TEXAS at the world famous Palomino Club in North Hollywood,CA. August 24, 1981 when we headlined and rocked the house!!!!
Here's our version of little zydeco-influenced love song..........go figure!!!! We....as the band TEXAS.... put our hearts and souls into it......just like we did all of our songs. Enjoy!!!
Here's TEXAS the band's tribute to another native Texan who has done quite well for himself over the last 30 plus years....playing drums for a little band called THE EAGLES and writing as well as singing many of their hits. Rock on Don Henley.....and we know you will. We're extremely proud of you and your body of work!!!!!
Here's the rockin' A side of our debut 45 rpm record..........it helped get TEXAS the band to Nashville.......and the rest is rock and roll history.
I'm not going to miss out on this great event!! Come on down to the Listening Room Cafe' in Nashville!!
