About a poor farmer struggling to keep the family fed...
Damned is a story you have to hear. This one is an eerie outing that brings you out the top in the end. It’s a feature length film in five minutes.

Verse 1
If thunder heads form and people pour down
Rage river overruns and turns red brown
Would you swim for your life or hold your ground
Damned if you live
Damned if you drown
Chorus 1
Sometimes damned if you do
Definitely damned if you don’t
Save yourself, family, friends and home
Bury the hatchet with your ancestors bones
And you won’t be damned to go it alone
Verse 2
Born in the badlands, washed up on a beach
With a load on your back tied to a leash
Are you yourself or too heavy to reach
Damned if you follow
Damned if you preach
Chorus 2
Sometimes damned if you do
Definitely damned if you don’t
Save yourself, family, friends and home
Pull the sword straight out of the stone
And you won’t be damned to go it alone
Verse 3
Don’t tread on me with transparent eyes
Because I have survived through more than you realize
So tell me the truth or I’ll expose your guise
Damned as a fool
Damned with your lies
Chorus 3
Sometimes damned if you do
Definitely damned if you don’t
Save yourself, family, friends and home
Pry the knowledge from the jaws of the unknown
And you won’t be damned to go it alone
Verse 4
The soothsayer spins this simple advice
A cautionary tale to choose friends that are wise
Do they have your back or do they secretly despise
Damned hellos
Damned goodbyes
Chorus 4 – Out
Sometimes damned if you do
Definitely damned if you don’t
Save yourself, family, friends and home
Make your city, state, nation, world your own
And you won’t be damned
No you won’t be damned
You won’t be damned to go it alone

Keeli was born in Tawas city Michigan but her family hails from the beautiful Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. She has traveled extensively throughout her life, both in the U.S. and abroad, and currently resides in North Carolina. Perhaps her predominately Irish and Cherokee Indian heritage explain how she came to posses such a unique and enchanting musical style. Her lifting voice has a natural Celtic sound yet she offers something refreshingly new and different from traditional Irish music. Her lyrics tell provocative tales of life. Her life, lives that have touched her and life as she observes it. From her perspective, every tale has a positive message. The light at the end of the tunnel, the cloud with the silver lining and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow are the rewards she claims to reap every time she creates a new song. "I live it, then I write it. It's the only way I know to channel my emotions. I always feel reborn after writing a song." As a child, Keeli watched her mother perform and direct many stage productions. She fell in love with the theater. It must be in her blood. She has taken her love for the theater and incorporated it into her performances as a singer/songwriter. She sings each song with the passion in which it was conceived, taking her audience on an escapade where every avenue explores a new emotion. Every song is a new scene in a one woman play. Keeli believes everything in life is a gift and should be cherished. After experiencing a healing miracle of enormous magnitude, she wrote about it in her 1st book. The book is truly an inspiration. It is titled "Lifted". Knowing God has gifted her with many blessings, she hopes that by sharing her story and her music, others may also be blessed. Family, friends and community are the ties that bind and Keeli believes that their support is an essential ingredient to her success. Keeli is delightfully different yet seems so familiar and comfortable. When you hear her, you will feel as though you have always known her. You will also feel as though she knows you!

I was so very proud to meet and get to know Gunnar Nelson (one of the twin sons of one of my idols from the 50's and 60's Rick Nelson) and he was so kind as to allow us to take as many photos as we wanted to.
I told him that his Dad was my favorite performer of all time.........and all he said was "Mine too".
Rest in peace Rick. Your sons are carryin' on your rockin' tradition.......and I know that you are watching over them and so very proud. What a wonderful family "The Nelsons" were and are......even today!!!
My brother Jackson and I started the band called TEXAS (the only band with that name to obtain official permission from the State of Texas Attorney General to use it).
Although the band broke up in 1981....after we headlined at TPAC (the Tennessee Performing Arts Center).....I continued to write songs and moved to Nashville in 1989.
Never give up on your dreams!!!!!
Here's our studio mascot, family pet and "wonder" dog......who has passed on to the heavenly pastures and will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace old friend.
CAESAR was "one of a kind" and his spirit and memory will never die!!!!
